Hello and welcome to the 2017 Winter Season.

Firstly I’d like to welcome you all back and welcome to all new players who will be representing Rupertswood for the first time this season.

For the past four seasons your fees have been $150 per season. Part of your fees go towards the team sheets every week. In the Winter season of 2016 there was a price increase on the team sheet which the club covered through the chocolate drive. Last season (2016/17 Summer season) the club wore the extra cost for the team sheet and once again we will wear the extra cost for this season (2017 Winter season).

Next season (2017/18 Summer season) the club will increase your fees to $160 per season to cover any additional costs. Also from next season the Rupertswood Basketball Club will enforce a NO PAY NO PLAY policy. What this means is that your fees for summer 2017/18 season your fees will need to be paid upfront prior to the beginning of that season.

Dear parents and members.

As you may or may not be aware, the basketball club needs to start preparing the sides for next season in the coming weeks, which I’m sure you can appreciate is a mentally draining task making sure players are placed in correct sides, especially with the summer season being a grading season and also having players going up an age group this season.

Over recent seasons, it’s became an ominous task chasing fees for which are normally due by round 3 for each season, also we need a commitment from players for the upcoming season.

At our last committee meeting it was decided that from now on a registration night will be held before the end of each season with which you will be required to pay a minimum $50 towards the following season’s fees to hold a spot in the forthcoming season otherwise no spot will be held for your child.

Registration nights for next season will be held over 2 weeks at training sessions beginning on Tuesday the 26th and Wednesday the 27th of July and the following week being Tuesday the 2nd and Wednesday the 3rd of August from 5pm-7.15pm on both weeks.

If you cannot attend these nights, please feel free to deposit into our bank account (details below) stating registration and surname as a reference or place $50 in an envelope with you surname and pass onto our treasurer Mandy Bell or president David Tweedly. An eftpos machine will be available on the registration nights.
